As a Living Donor preparing for surgery, you may be expecting to take some time away from work. If your transplant staff has not already directed you, you may want to apply to NLDAC for assistance. They are the kindest people on earth and if you are cleared, they will make sure you aren’t worried about your finances during recovery. National Living Donor Assistance Center

The National Kidney Foundation has a lot of opportunities for volunteers and advocates who want to support kidney health and promote for the cause. They have offices all over the country. There is also a good bit of research here for diet and nutrition, recipes included. I wish I’d known about this website before!

This one is a more general and national resource. If you are looking to apply as a donor, this includes not only organs, but eye and tissue donation. Their logo is one of the most recognizable in donation, I’d say! Donate Life

Miami Kidney Transplant was where I got to sign up to be my husband’s donor! They require you to fill out a questionnaire before someone will call you to confirm your acceptance and let you know the next step. LivingDonorProgram
